Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of VpnSherpa. In plain terms: we're an information and comparison guide — not a VPN provider, not a security vendor, and not your legal adviser. Please read these alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Last reviewed: 20 June 2026 · Applies to the VpnSherpa website.

01 · What this is

Informational only — we're not a provider

VpnSherpa publishes guides, reviews and comparisons about VPNs. We do not operate any VPN or security service, route no traffic, and hold no funds. When you act on something you read here, you leave our site and deal directly with a third-party provider under their terms — we are not a party to that relationship.

Nothing on VpnSherpa is legal, security or professional advice, and we never claim a VPN makes you "100% anonymous" or "untraceable".

02 · No warranty on the content

Accuracy of prices, audits & details

We work hard to keep information correct, but providers change their prices, policies, audits and availability constantly. We therefore provide the site “as is,” with no warranty that any figure, rating or detail is current, complete or error-free. Always verify the live terms and privacy policy on the provider's own site before you rely on anything — the provider's terms govern, not ours.

03 · Who may use the site

Eligibility

This site is intended for adults making informed decisions about privacy and security software. To use it you must be at least 18, or the higher minimum age that applies where you are. For how we check provider claims — including which no-logs policies are independently audited — see How we verify.

04 · Your responsibility

You're responsible for lawful use where you are

Laws and service rules concerning VPNs vary by location and use. It is your responsibility to know and obey the laws that apply to you, and to use any provider within its terms of service. We do not endorse using a VPN to defeat a service's identity checks or to break its terms, and content here is not an offer or solicitation where it would be unlawful.

05 · Intellectual property

Intellectual property

The VpnSherpa name, the wayfinder mark, the site design, text and original graphics are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable IP laws. You may view and share links to our pages, but you may not copy, scrape, republish or commercially reuse our content without permission. Third-party names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

06 · Liability

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VpnSherpa and the operating entity are not liable for any loss — including any indirect or consequential damage — arising from your use of this site, from reliance on its content, or from your dealings with any third-party provider. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights).

07 · Governing law

Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, applicable law. Nothing in them removes the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives on this page, with the date above.

Partner permissions

Marketing & partner communications

If you opt in to marketing from VpnSherpa — for example by subscribing to updates — you consent to receiving email and/or SMS marketing from the operator and from the partner brands whose domains are listed below. We only send marketing where you have given this consent.

You can withdraw it at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any message, or contact us at [email protected] — and withdrawal does not affect any processing carried out before it. We will still send essential service messages (for example, replies to an enquiry you sent us).

Privacy limit

No VPN makes you "100% anonymous" or "untraceable". Catalogue audit and jurisdiction fields are starting points: open the current report, check its scope and confirm the contracting entity before subscribing.

VpnSherpa is a source-backed guide to VPNs. Commercial cards use supplied catalogue fields, not hands-on security or privacy testing. Figures and policies may change. This is not legal or security advice; read the provider's current terms and privacy policy before subscribing.
